First Evening College Endowment Fund Established
Evening College has been creating lifelong learning opportunities for all adults since 1951. In 2005, the first Evening College Endowment Fund was established. Gifts to the Evening College Endowment Fund reflect a commitment and appreciation of lifelong education opportunities and an understanding of the importance of these learning opportunities for all adults.
Fulfilling Michigan State University's land grant mission of teaching, research, and outreach, all adults are welcome to participate in Evening College programs. The diverse offerings include two semesters of evening and weekend noncredit personal enrichment courses at Michigan State University, (over 150 courses are offered every year showcasing MSU faculty and resources and community lecturers), on-line courses, an annual two week study abroad program at the University of Oxford and on-site course offerings at a local retirement facility.
