Keynote Speaker
Carter Oosterhouse, Host of HGTV's Carter Can and Red, Hot & Green
Carter Oosterhouse is one of America's most recognized lifestyle experts. As host of HGTV's Carter Can, Red, Hot & Green and a regular contributor to the Emmy® Award-Winning Rachael Ray show, Carter's unique combination of skill, passion and charm have given him widespread appeal for families and individuals alike seeking to improve the quality of their lives by enhancing their surroundings.
An authority in eco-living, Carter has a history of gently leading viewers to greener pastures by creating manageable steps to an eco-friendly lifestyle. The youngest of four children, Carter was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. Long before the environmental movement, his parents were advocates of nutrition and wellness. They instilled the value of taking care of oneself which naturally translated into a respect for the environment.
From his first appearance on Trading Spaces, audiences took notice of the 6'2" carpenter voted People magazine's "Sexiest Man on TV" who looked more like a runway model than the guy who puts shelving in your den. But Carter's talent as a lifestyle expert and craftsman is as genuine as his down-to-earth personality.
