Celebrate Senior Week with Us

You've worked hard and now you're in the final stretch toward your MSU degree. It's time to celebrate and cross a few last items off your Spartan bucket list!

The MSU Alumni Association and the University Activities Board invite you to take part in several upcoming activities geared toward seniors.

All Week Long!

Win An MSU Diploma Frame

Visit at least six of the 10 locations listed below and create a photo collage for your chance to win an MSU diploma frame. Submit your image on Twitter or Instagram by tagging @UABatMSU in the photo. Please note, your account must be public and entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29. The winner will be selected at random. Open to all MSU students.

Locations to choose from:

  • Spartan Stadium
  • Beaumont Tower
  • Spartan Statue (either indoor or outdoor)
  • The 4H Children's Garden
  • John A. Hannah Statue
  • MSU Union
  • The Rock
  • Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum
  • Red Cedar River
  • Polar Bear in the Natural Resources Building

Monday, April 25

Tour Beaumont Tower
Beaumont Tower, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Before you leave campus, be sure to get your complimentary tour of Beaumont Tower courtesy of the Tower Guard. Open to all MSU students, plus one guest, you’ll be back to climb to the top to see where the carillonneur plays. If you’re scared of heights or unable to club, we’ll have virtual tours available for you on site. In addition to the tower tours, Zeke the Wonderdog will be on hand for photos and Frisbee catching. All students must show their MSU ID to participate.

President’s Graduate Receptions
Cowles House, 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Graduating seniors will receive an email invitation from the Office of the Registrar to their @msu.edu email account on March 21 for one of the two events and need to RSVP by April 11. This is a great opportunity to get your picture with President Simon, enjoy delicious food, be entered to win fantastic prizes and see the world’s best mascot, Sparty.

Tuesday, April 26

President’s Graduate Receptions
Cowles House, 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, April 28

Tie-Dye Craft Night
East lawn of the MSU Union, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Visit the MSU Union for one of the last craft nights of the year. You’ll have the opportunity to make a one-of-a-kind t-shirt that will last a lifetime. The University Activities Board will provide shirts and dye while supplies last, so be sure to arrive early. Open to all MSU students and a guest. All students must show their MSU ID to participate.

Friday, April 29

Ice Cream and Signatures @ The Rock
The Rock, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (rain location Main Lounge in MSU Union)

Want to leave your mark on MSU’s campus? Join the University Activities Board for one final event of the year and sign your name on The Rock! UAB will also be giving away MSU Dairy Store ice cream to all those that participate. Sharpies and MSU Dairy Store Ice Cream will be provided while supplies last. Open to all MSU students and a guest. All students must show their MSU ID to participate.
