GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender) Spartan Mixer - Monday, December 30, 2013
Join the MSU Alumni Association, GLBT Alumni Association and special guest West Hollywood Council Member Jeff Prang to celebrate MSU's trip to the Rose Bowl Game! The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gym Sports Bar in West Hollywood. There is no cost to attend and guests can enjoy free hors d'oeuvres and drink specials. Official Pep Rally - Tuesday, December 31, 2013
The official pep rally will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31 at the L.A. Live Plaza. Join 10,000 Spartans in the streets of downtown LA. Special guests include President Lou Anna K. Simon, Athletics Director Mark Hollis, Men's Football Coach Mark Dantonio, MSUAA Executive Director Scott Westerman & NFL Quarterback Kirk Cousins. We will be showing a live broadcast of the MSU Men's Basketball game (at Penn State) starting at 2:00 p.m. Registration is not required for this event.
MSU New Year's Eve Party & Dinner in Hollywood - Tuesday, December 31, 2013
6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m
Ring in the New Year at the famous Dolby Ballroom, home of the Academy Awards Ball! Enjoy drinks, dinner, dancing and a champagne toast at “midnight Michigan time” with fellow Spartans. The party peaks with a special performance by the legendary Darlene Love, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and her eleven-piece band, which provides music through the night. Check out Darlene Love with Bruce Springsteen at Madison Square Garden and making her annual Christmas appearance on Late Night with David Letterman.
Tickets are $200 (adults) and $150 (children 12 and under) and include a three course seated dinner, appetizers, hosted beer and wine and a champagne toast. Cash bar available. Los Angeles Spartans New Year's Eve Party - Tuesday, December 31, 2013
The Los Angeles Spartans alumni club and the MSU Alumni Association invite Spartans from around the world to celebrate New Year's Eve and MSU's historic return to the Rose Bowl Game at Club Nokia in L.A. Live on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., following the exciting pep rally. We will celebrate NYE at midnight (East Lansing Time) with Sparty and a number of surprises. Enjoy a photo booth, DJ, cash bar & concessions with your fellow Spartans - $30 per person (+$10.50/person service charge for registration); 18 & up, children under 18 are welcome only with parental supervision.

Join fellow Spartans for a fun-filled pre-game tailgate party. Includes scheduled appearances by President Lou Anna K. Simon, Athletics Director Mark Hollis, the Spartan Marching Band, MSU Cheer and Dance Teams and Sparty! Tickets are $85 for adults and $55 for children (3-12). The 125th Rose Parade presented by Honda - Wednesday, January 1, 2014
The parade begins at 8:00 a.m. PST
Reserved grandstand seating for the Rose Parade is available for purchase through Sharp Seating Company, the Official Grandstand Seating Provider, through December 31. Every person must have a ticket to sit in the reserved grandstands. The only exception is for children two years of age or younger who have the option of sitting on an adultâ€™s lap; otherwise they must also have a ticket.
Curbside viewing is also available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pasadena city ordinance allows the occupancy of curbside space along the parade route beginning at noon on the day before the parade. For tips and rules about curbside viewing, visit the Pasadena Convention and Visitors Bureau website and download the Visitor Hotline Handbook.

LA Spartans Rose Bowl Game Watch and After Party at LA Live - Wednesday, January 1, 2014
The Michigan State University Black Alumni of Los Angeles, along with the MSU Alumni Association and the Michigan State University Black Alumni Association National Chapter, invite you to watch the Rose Bowl Game LA style. Doors will open at noon, with game kickoff at 2:00 p.m., and you'll enjoy half-time fun, a party atmosphere and giveaways throughout the day. Directly following the game, continue to celebrate our Rose Bowl Game appearance with an After Party to rival all parties! Featured performances by host, Doug E Fresh; Detroit's own, comic Tony Roberts and music provided by DJ Fred Loc of L.A. radio station KJLH. Ages 18 and over welcome. Advanced ticket prices $20.50 - $100.50, with day of event tickets $25.50 - $150.50. Tickets can be purchased online.
