Note: To be confirmed to participate in the parade, describe in detail, with 100 words or less, what your entry will be and how it will relate to the Homecoming theme. Please write the description in the third-person as the announcer will read it, and be as detailed as possible. Failure to provide this will affect your confirmation for participation in the parade. The following is an example: "The Spartans Mango Club is a group of women who enjoy dancing Zumba. The group has been in existence since 2009 and their mission is to spread their love of Zumba to the Uniquely Spartan Nation. Their parade entry consists of members of the group collaborating to create a bold, vibrant dance throughout the parade."

Staging spots are 25 feet. Based on the size of your entry please indicate the number of staging spots you'll need.

Note: A limited number of flatbeds have been made available for student groups to request on a first come first served basis, and all flatbeds have been reserved at this time. To be added to a wait list for flatbed use, please contact Regina Cross at Flatbeds will be available at the area of the stadium beginning Monday, October 16, 2017. For groups reserving flatbeds, the concourse will also be available for building of floats beginning Monday, October 16 and will continue each night until Thursday, October 19. A carpenter with a tool crib will be available to assist you in making your float. The day of the parade your float must be removed from the area no later than 3:00 p.m.
Note: This is helpful information when assigning positions in the parade so groups with music aren't placed near one another.
Registered Student Group Information

Name of advisor is required

RSO account number is required

Registrations will be accepted up until the parade staging capacity has been met.

Registered student groups are eligible to receive cash awards in the categories below. If your group is selected to receive an award, money will be deposited into your RSO account after the parade, and two representatives from your group will be introduced during half-time of the Homecoming football game. (Game tickets will be provided for two members of your organization.)

Cash prizes will be awarded to student entries in the following categories:

  • $500 for Best Float
  • $250 for Best Banner
  • $250 for Best Group
  • $250 for Best Spartan Spirit
  • Best Community Group (no cash prize)
  • Best Campus Department (no cash prize)

Please note: only registered student organizations are eligible to win cash prizes.
