Join former MSU hockey star Anson Carter as the special Spartan dignitary and CBS Sports’ Verne Lundquist as the celebrity lecturer, on this first-ever all–Big Ten cruise of Alaska. Anson Carter

Anson played for the Spartans from 1992 to 1996. During his Michigan State career he earned honors on the CCHA first All-Star Team from 1994 to 1996. He ranks among MSU’s all-time leading scoring leaders and received the Bill Burgess Outstanding Senior and Amo Bessone Awards. He helped guide the Spartans to three consecutive third-place finishes in the CCHA. Originally from Scarborough, Ontario he was drafted in 1992 by the Quebec Nordiques. After his career at MSU, he was traded to the Washington Capitals and made his professional debut.  Over the course of his 11 NHL seasons from 1996 through 2007, Carter played in 674 games, producing 202 goals and 219 assists with the Washington Capitals, Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Carolina Hurricanes.Currently he is an on-air NHL analyst for NBC Sports and resides in Atlanta, GA.
