MSU Host - Dr. William Porter

Dr. William Porter is the Boone and Crockett Professor of Wildlife Conservation at Michigan State University.  He brings more than 30 years’ experience as a naturalist and field biologist, and is an award-winning teacher and author.  Dr. Porter’s research has played central roles in restoration of wildlife and in the management of overabundant species.  He teaches courses in winter ecology, wildlife management, wildlife policy, and leadership.  In recent years Dr. Porter has been conducting a winter course in Yellowstone National Park. He and his wife are avid travelers, birders and wildlife photographers.
