On October 19, 2021, MSU President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., M.D., hosted a conversation with Melissa Woo, Ph.D., executive vice president for administration, chief information officer and president of the MSU Foundation.

Their conversation explored the changing nature of how people live, work and learn as a new normal takes shape at MSU post-pandemic.

Melissa Woo

Melissa Woo, Ph.D., Executive Vice President for Administration and Chief Information Officer

Melissa Woo joined Michigan State University in 2019, having previously served as the senior vice president for information technology and chief information officer at Stony Brook University. As Chief Information Officer at MSU, she is responsible for the information and computer technology supporting enterprise goals across campus.

Since joining MSU, she was also appointed Executive Vice President for Administration and president of the Michigan State University Foundation.

In her multiple roles at MSU, she provides leadership for Campus Sustainability, Human Resources, Information Technology, Infrastructure Planning and Facilities, University Services and Land Management.
