MSU Alumni Office
May 6, 2020
The MSU Alumni Office invited all Spartans to collectively support the vital needs for students that arose as a result of the novel coronavirus crisis on Giving Tuesday Now.
#GivingTuesdayNow was a global day of giving and unity that took place May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by the novel coronavirus. The day was designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.
Through MSU’s CrowdPower platform, donors were able to find projects that addressed emerging needs such as emergency funds for students and resources for the entire Spartan Community.
#GivingTuesdayNow was an opportunity for Spartans to come together and give back in many ways, no matter who or where they are.
The outpouring of support for our students was incredible! We are so
grateful for the generosity shown by our donors.
COVID-19 is impacting individuals around the world, and here at Michigan State we have students and staff that are being affected. The support that the Spartan community gave on #GivingTuesdayNow will provide thousands of MSU students and the East Lansing community with vital support for needs that have arisen as a result of the novel coronavirus crisis.
Thank you to all who made a Spartan difference!
