CWTP | Behind the Scenes at the U.S. Supreme Court
Each year the U.S. Supreme Court decides cases that affect nearly every aspect of life in the U.S. And yet, the Court is among the most secretive of political institutions in America. Ryan Black, associate professor, Department of Political Science gives you a glimpse behind the red curtain into how the justices decide cases --how they pick cases in the first place, how attorneys influence the choices justices make, and the bargaining that takes place over the content of the Court’s written opinions. The Coffee with the Profs series is one of the MSU Alumni Association’s long-standing featured offerings highlighting research by some of the university’s finest faculty and staff.
