Women’s Leadership Institute- Equity for Women Leaders: Building Confidence, Breaking Through Barriers

6:30-9 p.m. | Wharton Center

The evidence suggests that, nationwide, only 5% of CEO-level leaders are women, and that higher education institutions with programs that build confidence and leadership skills in women help create better educational outcomes for women while in school and better employment outcomes after school—including leadership opportunities.  In this regard, the MSU-Women’s Leadership Institute has been designed to support and empower women students with leadership aspirations; and this year’s theme touches upon leadership and strategies for resiliency in the pursuit of obtaining leadership roles. The mission of the WLI is to ignite women leaders with a vision of advancing leadership equity for women globally through thought leadership, creating a sustainable community, and providing high quality programming for our students, faculty and MSU community. Join host Dr. Amy Bonomi, Professor & Special Advisor at MSU, as we welcome three distinguished professionals to discuss current and future issues with society and women’s rights with a panel discussion and a networking reception. This event will be open to MSU students, alumni, faculty, and community members.
