MSU alums do not receive “alum cards.” To confirm your status, you can log into your Spartan Portal and print the page showing your status as an alum or show it on an electronic device. Alums can also confirm their degree with the Office of the Registrar at reg.msu.edu.

You can view lifetime and annual giving totals by logging into your Spartan Portal.
Your Advancement ID can be found at the bottom of emails from University Advancement. If you are Spartan Loyal, Spartan Proud or part of Leadership Circle, you can also find your Advancement ID on your Spartan magazine mailing label, annual giving emails and direct mail.
If you do not know your Advancement ID, please fill out this form and someone from the MSU Alumni Office will provide your Advancement ID within two business days.

No, all Spartans are encouraged to explore and support areas within the university that align with their passions and values. There are no membership requirements.

The magazine reaches 50,000 households and is found in guest rooms of the Kellogg Center. The reading audience is comprised of households from which at least one individual makes a gift to MSU every fiscal year totaling $100 or above. Plus, it is mailed to Michigan legislators and academic and administrative officers on the MSU campus.
