Meet Madeleine, 2022 Homecoming Court Member

Madeleine Russell is a senior from Marshall, Michigan studying microbiology with a minor in bioethics. She is also a member of the Honors College. She currently serves as an undergraduate learning assistant for microbiology and molecular genetics as well as a resident assistant in the dorms. She works as a professorial research assistant at Comstock Lab as part of the food science and human nutrition department and has had her research published in several publications. During her time at MSU, she served as a New Student Orientation leader and as the president of MSU Tower Guard, where she advocated for equitable and inclusive campus resources. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she volunteered at the vaccine clinic at Sparrow Health System by collecting patient information to aid the process of getting as many people vaccinated as possible. She dedicated her time at MSU to the service of others as well as the advancement of scientific research.
