Stay Informed
There are two primary ways the office sends updates:

Email Updates

We regularly send emails with updates on university initiatives, current events and training opportunities. To access the latest update or ensure your name is on the list, reach out to the alumni relations director in your region.

Facebook Group

The MSU Club Leader Facebook group is a space to connect, share ideas and ask questions. We also post important updates and resources there. Reach out to the alumni relations director in your region to be added to the group.

Bylaws

Bylaws outline how your alumni community is structured and governed. They help ensure consistency, transparency and alignment with MSU’s values. Use this template to create or update your bylaws. Once created, upload the latest version in Club Admin to keep your community in good standing.

Club Admin

The Club Admin Panel is your tool for managing community details, accessing shared files and collaborating with us and other communities. Keeping your information up to date ensures you won’t miss important news and possibilities. The information provided here is what appears on the website Community Locator.

Complete your community’s annual certification in Club Admin to stay officially recognized using these instructions. This quick step keeps you eligible for the alum relations kit — a variety of tools to support your volunteer efforts.

Volunteer Training

Volunteer training is designed to set you up for success as a community leader. Whether you're new to your role or looking for a refresher, these resources will help you grow your impact, strengthen your club or affinity group and stay aligned with MSU goals.

  • Data and Communication Policy

Athletics

Donation Requests

Whether you're organizing a fundraiser, auction or special event, our donation guidelines ensure a fair and simple process for requesting signed items or other contributions. These guidelines help us meet community needs while complying with NCAA regulations. Please contact the Office of Compliance Services with questions about NCAA, Big Ten or University rules.

Spartan Fan Central

Our Spartan Fan Central webpage is your go-to destination for MSU Athletics social events during postseason and tournament action. From game watches and tailgates to exclusive fan gatherings and ticket information, this site helps Spartans stay connected to all the excitement. Please note: this page is only updated and promoted during athletic postseason and tournament-related events.

Marketing and Communications

Alumni Community Kit

Alumni Community Kits are designed to give clubs and affinity groups the tools they need to elevate their initiatives and programs. Each kit is packed with resources that help you showcase Spartan pride and strengthen your community’s impact.

All orders must be received by Aug. 15, 2025 and kits will not be shipped until the annual certification is completed.

Social Media

Social media is a great way to connect with fellow alums and share Spartan news. Please reference MSU Social Media Resources for information on monitoring and moderating, administrating, community guidelines, inclusivity and more.

Branding and Licensing

Brand assets, like logos and marks, are a great way to showcase Spartan pride in your community’s events and activities. To ensure everything looks its best and meets MSU’s guidelines:

  • Use the MSU Alumni Club Brand Basics as your go-to guide for creating graphics, marketing materials or promotional items.
  • Check the MSU Licensing Website for design approvals and to find licensed vendors for your projects.

Emails and Websites

We provide email and website services to support communities in promoting events and sharing content. Our goal is to help create clear, consistent messaging while safeguarding alumni and donor information in accordance with MSU’s data policies.

Events

Registration Tools

Eventbrite and Ticket Tailor are the approved event registration tools that sync with our digital platforms. Use these tools for all events except service projects, which should be registered on serve.msu.edu. Here are additional resources and training to help you get started:
