Homecoming 2011 was a huge success! Not only was it a week of beautiful fall weather, campus was filled with electricity as many alumni returned to their alma mater to celebrate.

The annual festivities included student events and alumni activities throughout Homecoming week including Student Float Building, the MSU Homecoming Parade, the Green & White Homecoming Dinner, the Homecoming football game and many events put on by MSU colleges and groups.

The Homecoming theme, "Glow Green, Go White," featured MSU newest Homecoming tradition "Green Glow" of which many Spartans took part by shining their homes green. The campus glowed green as well.

The parade also featured floats and banners by MSU registered student organizations, the Spartan Marching Band, MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon, MSU Trustee Melanie Foster, many MSU sports teams, the MSU Homecoming Court, six Michigan High School Bands, Zeke the Wonder Dog, the Lansing Lugnut's "Big Lug", East Lansing City Council members and much more. Parade awards were given to six different groups. See above for a listing of award winners. The winners were recognized on Spartan Stadium field during halftime of the football game.

The 2011-2012 MSU Homecoming Court was also recognized during halftime. The Court will continue to represent Michigan State University at a variety of functions throughout the calendar year. See above for a listing of Court members.

The Spartans were once again victorious with a spectacular "Hail Mary" win over the highly ranked Wisconsin Badgers for the Homecoming football game!
