2016 Homecoming

Whether you’re a future Spartan, current student, alumnus or friend of Michigan State, your connection to the Green and White will last a lifetime. Since 1855 and for years into the future, our shared experiences have made us all Spartans for Life.

The 2016 MSU Homecoming Parade begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14.

  • Route: Beings at Hannah Community Center, travels down Abbot to Grand River and into campus at the Collingwood entrance
  • Includes: the Spartan Marching Band, the MSU Alumni Band, the MSU Cheerleaders and Dance Team, student organizations, Greek sororities and fraternities, East Lansing community groups, Michigan high school bands and much more
  • Homecoming Week – Monday, October 10-Saturday, October 15
  • Homecoming Parade – Friday, October 14
  • Homecoming Football Game vs. Northwestern Wildcats – Saturday, October 15

Grand Marshals

Tom and Lupe Izzo are this year’s MSU Homecoming Grand Marshals. After more than two decades within the MSU community, they epitomize the Spartans for Life Homecoming theme. Read the Grand Marshal page to learn more about Tom and Lupe Izzo.

Events

Many activities are scheduled for Homecoming, including week-long campus and student events, the Homecoming Parade, college events, the Grand Awards Gala, the Green & White pre-game brunch, the MSU Families @ Homecoming Tailgate and the Homecoming football game versus the Northwestern Wildcats. Don’t forget to show your Spartan Spirit by “glowing green.”
