The Distinguished Alumni Award is given to alumni who have differentiated themselves by obtaining the highest level of professional accomplishment.

 

She’s president and CEO of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, patron of the arts and a Spartan. 

Clobes joined MSUFCU in 1996 as a marketing specialist and rose through the ranks before assuming the role of president and CEO in 2015. She has largely contributed to MSUFCU’s growth of more than $6.3 billion in assets and status as the nation’s largest university-based credit union.

Among her prolific involvements fusing business leadership and a passion for arts, Clobes is a governor-appointed member of the Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. She serves on the executive committee and board of directors for the Lansing Economic Area Partnership and Lansing Symphony Orchestra. She also serves on four credit union industry boards.

At MSU, Clobes is on the Wharton Center Advisory Council and the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum Advisory Board. She is a former member of both the Broad College of Business and the Communications Arts and Sciences Alumni Boards. As a member of the MSU College of Music National Leadership Council, Clobes also contributed to its endowed scholarship. She and her Spartan husband, Glen Brough, established a student scholarship in their names, and funded the Billman Music Pavilion’s Brough Student Lounge.
