Meet Devin, 2023 Homecoming Court Member

Meet Devin Woodruff, a distinguished MSU senior hailing from Southfield, Michigan. Devin is a zealous student enrolled in the College of Social Science with a major in Public Policy and a minor in Law, Justice, Public Policy & Business. 

His profound sense of pride and honor stems from being a member of the Homecoming Court, where he can effectively advocate for greater inclusivity and diversity at MSU, ensuring that all students feel like they belong. As an avid representative and student advocate, Devin believes they deserve the best support possible. Therefore, he hopes to promote allocating more resources towards diversity, equity, & inclusion (DEI) and student support.  

He is committed to creating a safe space on campus where students can freely express themselves, share their cultural backgrounds and showcase their identities. Devin is confident that if students feel a sense of belonging, they are more likely to thrive and graduate within the standard four or five-year timeframe. Devin cherishes the opportunity to interact with students from all over the world who come from different cultural backgrounds and have diverse viewpoints. He takes great pleasure in how the campus community unites as a Spartan family, irrespective of the situation.  

Devin's favorite spot on campus is the Botanical Garden, where he can take a moment to reflect and appreciate the beauty of nature. 

"It is truly your world. Students, don't let anyone dim your light or tell you what you can or cannot do. You have a lot more power than you may think. No one can doubt Spartans' greatness."
