Student Spotlight: Brooke Gilmore

Meet Brooke Gilmore! She is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying in the School of Hospitality Business. Brooke currently works on campus at the MSU Culinary Services in the Bakery and worked in Chicago as a Pastry Chef Intern in the summer of 2022.

During her four years at Michigan State, Brooke has been very involved in Habitat for Humanity MSU, where she served as the Vice President for two years, and in the MSU Virdis choral group, where she has served as the social chair since 2019.  Whether it be in the classroom, in the kitchen, or in volunteer settings, Brooke has been a believer in doing good for others to make the world a better place wherever she can.  By volunteering with Habitat for Humanity MSU, Brooke was able to directly help provide the basic need of housing to all people so that they can further their own lives.

Brooke plans to graduate this May and is excited to move to Chicago where she will work in the restaurant industry. Even after graduation, Brooke looks forward to continuing her acts of service to aid her neighbors and her community.
