Student Spotlights: Christine Wang

Christine Wang is a third-year law student from Naperville, Illinois. Christine credits her passion for public service to her hands-on experience in student government as an undergraduate student at Northern Illinois University. That experience made her realize she wanted to pursue a law degree and advocate for justice and equal representation for all.

As the president of the Asian Law Society, Christine hopes to help increase Asian-American representation in law. She also serves as the vice-president of the Student BAR Association where she is working to help increase diversity in the college and field. In addition to these two leadership positions, Christine works on campus as an assistant in the law library.

In April 2022, Christine was a panelist in the APIDA Heritage Month Career Series. Her favorite part about being a Spartan is the community’s willingness to rally behind and support marginalized groups that have been challenged in some way.
