On August 31, 2021, MSU President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., M.D., hosted a conversation with Executive Vice President for Health Sciences Norman J. Beauchamp Jr., M.D., M.H.S.

Norman J. Beauchamp Jr.

 

Norman J. Beauchamp Jr. is the executive vice president for Health Sciences at Michigan State. Previously, he served as associate provost and assistant vice president for Health Affairs and dean of the College of Human Medicine.

Before coming to MSU, he held academic medicine leadership positions at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Washington.

A nationally renowned neuro-interventional radiologist whose discoveries have advanced the treatment of stroke, he received his bachelor’s of science degree from Lyman Briggs College at MSU, his medical degree from MSU’s College of Human Medicine, and his Master of Health Science degree from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
