Student Spotlights: Ellie Friedman

Ellie Friedman is currently a second-year student studying social relations and policy in James Madison College as well as secondary education in the College of Education. Ellie is involved in numerous clubs and organizations on campus including serving as the president of the Tower Guard. She also is employed by the College of Education as a research assistant.

Ellie joined the MSU Tower Guard during her first year because the club's mission around disability and social justices align with her own values. She is also an enthusiastic fan and supporter of the MSU football and basketball teams.

Originally from West Bloomfield, Michigan, Ellie chose to come to MSU because of the College of Education's #1 ranking and invitation to join MSU's Honors College. Following her time at MSU, she aspired to be a high school teacher specializing in social science or English.
