Student Spotlights: Julia O'Mara
Julia O’Mara is a senior studying mechanical engineering at MSU. Her passion for math has helped evolve her interests including both her major and her position on the Solar Car Racing team.
As the president of the Solar Racing team, she finds it to be more of a home than work. One of her favorite aspects of the team is watching people grow to love the club as much as she does. Seeing the spark in their eyes as motivation and drive for the team grows over the semester is something Julia could not experience anywhere else.
Julia was highly influenced by her family and credits her incredible drive to being engulfed in different cultures growing up, putting things in perspective and having an open mindset. As someone who is passionate about a lot of things, Julia hopes to one day show the world what she’s capable of because of the hard work and dedication that she has put in at MSU.
