Surveillance/Counter-Terrorism Post 9/11
The MSU Debate Team is hosting a public debate about whether the United States should cease its bulk data collection program. One side will argue against the program, specifically regarding privacy concerns and global backlash to U.S. surveillance policies, while the other side will argue in support of the program as necessary for effective counter-terrorism efforts (they will be saying that a large intelligence gap before 9/11 could've been effectively addressed using bulk data collection). Since this is the 16th anniversary of 9/11, the topic is relevant.
