Homecoming Court Application

The 2020 Homecoming Court Application is closed and will reopen February 2022. Stay tuned for an announcement on who is selected for the 2021-2022 Homecoming Court!

Being selected to represent Michigan State University on the Homecoming Court is considered one of the highest honors for MSU seniors. 10-12 students will be selected to the Homecoming Court based on their ability to exemplify the qualities of leadership, spirit, integrity and achievement through their contributions and involvement at MSU.

Homecoming Court members must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be an MSU undergraduate student with current junior status and will have at least 90 completed credits by Sept. 1, 2021.
  • Must have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Must be in and maintain good academic and disciplinary standing.
  • Must have a letter of support from a member of the MSU community.

To nominate yourself, or a student that meets the above criteria for the 2021-2022 Homecoming Court, please download the application packet and submit the application below. All application materials are to be submitted by 5 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2021. Late applications will not be considered.

The letter should include:

  1. Length of time the individual has known you and in what capacity
  2. Why they believe you are an excellent representative of MSU students
If your supporter would prefer to submit the letter anonymously, ask them to email it to Natisha Foster at before the deadline. Please attach a note indicating when it was submitted.

Written response is required

Your written response to the following prompts (suggested length is 500 words per prompt):

  1. Why do you wish to represent MSU on the 2021-2022 Homecoming Court?
  2. What campus experiences have had the largest impact on you during your time at MSU?
  3. Briefly describe your involvement on-campus and in the community including student organizations, community service, study abroad, etc. and any academic honors, awards or athletic achievements that you have received.
