Welcome Home, Spartans.

HOMECOMING 2018

Planning for Homecoming 2018 has already begun! Check back for updated information in the coming months.

GRAND MARSHAL ANNOUNCED!

Member of the Little Rock Nine, Civil Rights activist, and Michigan State University alumnus Ernest Green has been named the 2018 Homecoming Grand Marshal. Green was one of nine teens who helped integrate Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1957. After graduating high school in 1958, he was awarded an anonymous scholarship to MSU, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sociology. It later became known that the scholarship was sponsored by then-president of MSU, John Hannah.

THEME: CELEBRATING UNWAVERING COURAGE

Paying homage to our Grand Marshal, Ernest Green, in 2018 we celebrate the unwavering courage of those that have boldly raised their voices and led the way to a better world. Like the Little Rock Nine, true Spartans believe in inclusivity for all, and will defy expectations in pursuit of their dreams.
